The Spot of Moulay Bouzerktoun

Located 25 km north of Essaouira, the world famous wave spot of Moulay Bouzerktoun offers ideal conditions for windsurfing and stand up paddling.

For those who do not yet know Moulay, this is THE moroccan wave spot: Small sandy beach with a rocky slab that raises a wave that unfolds in ‘right’. The wind blows parallel to the beach in starboard side shore from march to october and it gets stronger in summer.

From march to june, the swell forms magnificent waves of 1.5 to 3 meters for the greatest pleasure of the wave riding enthusiasts. In summer the wind strengthen until force 7 and the size of the waves gradually decreases. In autumn the beautiful swell is back with a lower wind speed which allows to alternate the sessions of windsurfing and stand up paddle.
